Radio Times UK - No Index?

I've been using the Radio Times EPG successfully for some time as it has a lot of programme information available. However since 5th June 2018, WebGrab+Plus V2.1 as reported the following error for all channels I am try to grab:

"Job started at 06/06/2018 06:00:03
found: /volume1/1TB/WebGrab/.wg++/radiotimes.com.ini -- Revision 15

pausing 1 of 4 times for 5 seconds before re-try.
Unable to update channel TalkingPictures
Generic syntax exception:
message:

The URL_Index used in my ini is:
"url_index{url|http://www.radiotimes.com/rt-service/schedule/get?startDate=|urldate|%2000:00:00&hours=24&totalWidthUnits=0&channels=|channel}"

Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

For information I am running WebGrab+Plus on a Synology NAS, but I have also tried using W10, but get the same error.

Thanks for your feedback

Blackbear199. Thank you for your quick reply.

I knew it was not a Webgrab problem! Thinking back, there have been a number of 'updates' to both Synology and W10 recently.

I'll go through your suggestions and come back.

I fixed the issue on my Windows 10 installation with Webgrab V2.1.5, so I can at least download the Radio times EPG!
However I am having difficulties with my Synology NAS(my preferred platform).
It seems that the original version of mono that was installed had been removed during an update.
I have therefore downloaded the mono package from SynoCommunity (version 5.8.0.108-11) which is shown as installed and running. However, webgrab reports the error 'Mono required, but its not installed'!

I have checked the NAS via command line and it does show mono located in /usr/local/mono, as expected.

Do you have any further suggestions to get Webgrab running on my Synology NAS or where I can download and install another version of mono?

I have Webgrab installed in a specific directory on volume 1 of the Synology nas. And it is run by the script Run.sh directly from the directory. This worked with the previous version of mono up until this week.

I think I'll try installing webgrab in the mono directory.

To update on the above and now that I have a little more understanding of the file structure of the Synology..

I have followed your suggestion and placed the full path, to the latest version of mono (5.8.0.108) into the script 'Run.sh'.

I also discovered that the previous version of mono (4.6.2) was still showing in usr/local/bin, which I have managed to uninstall, so I only have the latest version installed!

This seems to have fixed the issue and Webgrag+Plus is currently running and downloading the Radio Times EPG.

Thank you for your help, it's much appreciated.

I seem to have a similar problem - which also started on June the 5th - and every day since. The error message I get is:
"...
[ Info ]
[ Info ] Group (0) :
[ Info ] update requested for - 22 - out of - 22 - channels for 9 day(s)
[ Debug ]
[ Info ] ( 1/22 ) RADIOTIMES.COM -- chan. (xmltv_id=l1.BBC One North) -- mode Incremental
[Warning ] error downloading page: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send.
[Warning ] pausing 1 of 4 times for 10 seconds before re-try.
..."

After retrying all the other channels it gives up.

I use an old windows/xp machine stand-alone which sits by the PVR and I don't use for anything else. The software on there hasn't changed for several months. I've changed nothing which might have caused this error. So I assume there's something different on the radio times server which changed on June 5th - especially as Martin's problems started then too.

If - as BlackBear says - this is caused by https, then is that because Radio Times changed on June 5th?

Anyway, I tried the beta of version 2.1.5 but it wouldn't run on my machine - presumably because it's 64bit.

I'm away for a couple of weeks so won't be able to look at it again for a while but any hints or suggestions would be much appreciated.

I tried it on a Windows 10 machine and got it to work after installing net framework 4.72 and WG+ 2.1.5
The win10 machine is 32 bit, so why it wouldn't run on XP I don't know. On that machine it says "WebGrab+Plus.exe is not a valid win32 application". I'm sure the file is not corrupt - it's the same version I used on both machines. I also tried a new download.

Am I going to have to give up on XP finally ?

Anyway, I really am away for 2 weeks now so won't be able to look again for a while.

Thanks for any help.

Have anyone resolve this issue? Got the same error using 2.1.5.

Yes, this is now working for me on both W10 and my Synology NAS.
In windows, I updated Webgrab to 2.1.5 beta and checked that .NET Framework 4.7 was turned on.
My NAS was a little more involved as I needed to upgrade Mono and ensure that Webgrab was using it. Following this I am able to download the EPG from Radio Times, but the time taken has almost double! Since the NAS is 'always on' its not such a problem.
See the notes in the previous posts above for details.
