Hello,

I found out that if you choose to create an XMLTV for a <timespan> bigger than 0 then the output is quite messed up. If the <timespan> is 0 then it captures programs that finish BEFORE 00:00. If a program start before 00:00 but finish after 00:00 (change of day) it will not be captured.

I tried to understand what is the output of the XMLTV if <timespan> is bigger than 0 but I'm not quite sure. I create a 2 day scanning to test it and this is what I found. The grabbing will catch the last program of the day (one that starts and stops before 00:00) from Channel 1 and then will start grabbing the programms from Channel 2. Something like that. It messed up the channels like that.

If someone can check it to verify that I'm correct! And update it IF it's possible!

Thank you all!

I'm using v1.57 on Windows 10

This might be the best explanation that I have ever had on a forum!

Very clear explanation and you answered/explained more than I asked! In an attempt, trying to understand the .ini, I noticed that it was different from the other .ini files that I used. And because I saw all those numbers in the channels creation part, I realise that the grabbing method must be a little more complicated. A single decrease in the number of channels caused this.

Again, thank you very much. I created a test xmltv file that includes 2 channels and for 2 days. It seems that the grabbing was done correctly, so I guess it will work just fine with more channels!!

Is there any chance the updated version to be included in the EPG Channels download page of the site? So any future users get the correct version.

Hello, I ran the ini and get some very weird results. Some are in German and some in weird characters. Can the ini be fixed? Perhaps the source can be changed to https://www.cyta.com.cy/tv-guide which returns the Greek results. Thanks!

It's a bit all over the place. The channels dont match the EPG, different language, weird characters, etc. For example:
novasports 6 and 7 show some news channel data in English but there are sports channels
novasports 2 shows documentaries with German descriptions in the shows but it'a a sports channel
novasport 1 shows some french data instead of greek and sports
Rik shows shows weird characters

In general the pull should be in Greek but I didnt see any.

I think the full ini needs to be updated. I attached my pull of a few channels and none is correct.

Hi Mat. Thanks for your help. I am trying to pull more than 1 days and it doesn't pull more than first day. Not sure if I am doing something wrong or the ini has an issue.

Also, a small correction if you can. On the URL index, can you change to the below for Greek language:
url_index{url|https://data.cytavision.com.cy/epg/?site=cyprus&day=|urldate|&lang=el&package=all&category=all}

thanks
