Hello,
since few weeks the m.tvtoday.de.ini does not work anymore: no shows in indexpage!. My guess is that the Website has slightly changed because I use the latest ini file (https://github.com/SilentButeo2/webgrabplus-siteinipack/blob/master/site...) which is stable since two years and worked the last years without issues in my setup.
Could someone please have a look and update the ini file is possible?

from what i can see it redirects to the desktop site so use it.

Ok, you mean m.tvtoday.de Redirect to tvtoday.de? That would mean m.tvtoday.de.ini is useless from now on, right?
would that mean I Need to use https://github.com/SilentButeo2/webgrabplus-siteinipack/blob/master/site...? That is an encrypted file. Does that mean I can only use it with a donator license?

if its the only ini you use you could email jan via the contact page and explain this to him.
we always encrypt ini in the newest encryption(v3),only donators can use these files.
but,they can still be encrypted with the old v2 which u can use as a registered user.
i dont think he will make u dontate to use 1 ini but wont hurt to ask.
i would do it for u but i do not have the encryption tool.
Ok, thanks. But I just decided to donate your project. Just send by Paypal. How Long does it takes till I can use wg++ with new license? Do I Need to change something in the config?
I use it as docker container. Does the latest Update on tvtoday ini two days ago come with latest docker Image or do I Need to Update manually?
usually 4-6 hrs for the system to get the paypal transaction.
use whatever docker container you wish like linuxserver.io or whatever.
i know it has the latest V5.5 which automatically checks for updated files when it runs and downloads them.
also make sure you set a static mac address for the container.
far as your license i assume you already have that setup in your webgrab config.
using your username,forum registered email and passcode from your my account page.
once you see the piggy bank badge beside your username your donator licence is activated.
run webgrab and it should update itself,check your webgrab log or license log and it should say donator_license.
if it doesnt do a force license update,see the FAQ at top of the forums.
i see you still dont have your badge.

is your paypal email different from your forums email?
and did you use the support us button so your username is inlcuded in the comments of the paypal transaction.
i am guessing one or both didnt happen.
jan(owner) will have to manually fix your donation as the system wont know who its from by using one of the 2 things above.

How can I download automatically the latest siteini pack from repo?
Currently I find under /config/siteini.pack a file "siteini.pack_2025.09.17_030214.txt" with following content:

So, a kind of autoupdate took place, but it does not updated the needed tvtoday.de.ini file. How can I force that?
btw: The info from FAQ page "for linux SiteIni.Pack.Update.sh (located in .wg++/bin or even "mono SiteIni.Pack.Update.exe" from /bin path)" does not fit for my system (Docker https://hub.docker.com/r/linuxserver/webgrabplus)

the siteini.pack is a bit of a mess.
there are 2 sets of files for tvspielfilm.de
live.tvspielfilm.de and just tvspielfilm.de
tvspielfilm.de is the one thats newer and works, live.tvspielfilm.de doesnt work.
if you open the files in your editor and look near the top at the last revision date u will see one is newer.
u cannot mix the channel list from one with the other.
the site="xxx" value in the channel line tell webgrab which file to use.
does that mean its not allowed to have entries from two different Pages, e.g. Tvtoday and tvspielfilm, on my config?

i mean that channel lines with site="live.tvspielflm.de" wont work and error as you found out because the file doesnt work.
in V5.5 a autoupdate feature was added but some people are having issues with it not updating files.
for docker there is no siteini.update.sh file.
whoever created the container image left it out and i assume its because it doesnt work.
you can..
1. use the epg channels tab at the top of the forums and manually download the files you need to update and replace them in the siteini.pack folder(its sorted by country).
2. goto the github page and do the same thing except when you download the file select download raw file.
dont copy and paste the file contents,it breaks the encryption and will cause a error.

i also forgot to mention that if you edit the sitini.pack_xxxx.txt file
remove the last line(the timestamp) and save it.
run webgrab.
it will download any new files that are available.
it will also add a new timestamp entry so anytime you want to do another update you need to edit it again and remove it.
Hey, thanks the hint with removing the timestamp line was exactly what I needed. After that the latest siteini pack were downloaded.
But I have seen following warning:

it is advised to disable this channel / site from your channel list
Do you know the reason for that?
It seems to work; guide.xml is filled with content
webgrab checks every site for a robots.txt file.

! is a undocumented setting along with # so they not in the list.
# disables the stastic upload message you see in your log file.
this hasnt been used in years,why it shows a error in your log file.
# will get rid of the log message.
