V2.1.8

Using the attached rex config:

The result is a file written:

'source_file'_rex.xml

Secondly:

The subtitle looks like this:
The productiondate is not added to the subtitle field.
In the log file there is a warning:
- - - Warning! Mdb Element 'date' not recognised!

In the grabbed file there is a date tag

Thirdly:

How can I add the original title to the subtitle field?

The actors and directors are correctly added.

productiondate worked
however in the instructions is:

2. The allowed xmltv-target elements (the ones in the target file specified above) are :
title
sub-title
desc
date = the xmltv element name containing the productiondate
star-rating
review (=optional new xmltv element)
director e.g to add /substitute the (additional?) mdb-director
actor e.g to add /substitute the (additional?) mdb-actor

Tried: {'title lang="xx"' }
- - - Warning! Mdb Element 'title lang="xx"' not recognised!
does not work

Tried already 'titleoriginal' does not work
Tried 'title' alone: Nothing happens Also no warning.

Remains the problem of the filename.
The new option in V2.1.8 does not seem to work. Or I am doing something wrong.
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\TVxb\xml\'source_file'_rex.xml

added : in rex.config can contain a variable 'source_file' that will take the
value of the xmltv source file name (without .xml) plus text elements e.g. :
rex_'source_file'_1.xml

i thin you figured date should be productiondate. For the title i don't think can be done. I remember i tried years ago and was not possible, this because the element is 'title'.
you can also do {'description'.}{\nActors: 'actor(, )'.}{\nYear: 'productiondate'}
or by country
{'description'.}{\nDarsteller: 'actor(, )'.}{\nJahr: 'productiondate'}
looks nicer

To bad the original title can be moved.

The actual ordering of the data is a matter of personal preference.
The way, I do it now is grown over the years after comments in the enigma2 community on how it should divided over the 2 available fields. (subtitle and description)

Some even want the Episode info (S06E16) in the title field.

Listing the actors each on a new line, makes it better readable on a TV screen.

{Sunmary: 'description[cleanup(style=upper), max_chars=60]'}

Does not work fully. Result:

Sunmary: HORTENSE LABORIE, A RENOWNED CHEF FROM PERIGORD, IS ASTONISHED WHEN THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC APPOINTS HER HIS PERSONAL COOK, RESPONSIBLE FOR CREATING ALL HIS MEALS AT THE ELYSÉE PALACE. DESPITE JEALOUS RESENTMENT FROM THE OTHER KITCHEN STAFF, HORTENSE QUICKLY ESTABLISHES HERSELF, THANKS TO HER INDOMITABLE SPIRIT. THE AUTHENTICITY OF HER COOKING SOON SEDUCES THE PRESIDENT, BUT THE CORRIDORS OF POWER ARE LITTERED WITH TRAPS... BASED ON THE EXTRAORDINARY TRUE STORY OF PRESIDENT FRANCOISMITTERAND'SPRIVATE COOK.HORTENSE LABORIE, A RENOWNED CHEF FROM PERIGORD, IS ASTONISH . . .
Christian Vincent
Arthur Dupont
Catherine Frot
Hippolyte Girardot
Jean d'Ormesson

Combined with the fact that country and titleoriginal are not supported....
