UPDATE GATOTV

Can you update GATOTV please? Sometimes 1 day of programming is skipped on certain channels and also the applications do not show or detect the guide on this site, I imagine that due to some error in the format of the epg downloaded.

Hello, mat, it is not just a channel, sometimes it happens with one channel, sometimes it happens with another, but some channel always appears where the epg is downloaded but the tv application does not show it. For example, yesterday I updated my epg, a few hours ago it showed the information of these channels, BABY FIRTS, UNIVERSAL PREMIERE,ANTENA 3 but right now it no longer shows epg

You can see in the images that the application does detect a programming guide for that channel, but it does not show it. these channels are just an example, but sometimes it happens with espn, sometimes with these, sometimes with other channels.

The Baby First issue is more related to the iptv client than to WG++. You have three possible ways to solve it.

1. Create multiple entries in your config file as follow:

BABY FIRST *FHD

BABY FIRST *HQ

of course that's not optimal because it will use extra channels and make the guide.xml extra large but it will not have impact in processing time.

2. Manually match the channel with the corresponding EPG in your IPTV client if possible. Some IPTV clients have this option and some don't.

3. In some post process add multiple display-name on the same channel id as this:

<display-name lang="es">HBO FHD (MX) (Dual)</display-name>
<display-name lang="es">HBO FHD (MX) (E)</display-name>
<display-name lang="es">HBO FHD (MX E)</display-name>
<display-name lang="es">HBO FHD (MX Dual)</display-name>

That will work if your IPTV client can deal with multiple display name.

Personally I use option 3 using a python code and my IPTV client can handle it but I have tested others IPTV client and only consider the first display-name. So we could say the first option is the one that will work on every IPTV client but is the most "expensive" since it will require the use of extra channels.

Thanks for the suggestions, but precisely I always use the first option you mention, but the problem is that the programming guide is only displayed in the iptv applications when I just updated my epg, then it only lasts a few hours, and after a short time the epg disappears, I'm almost sure it's a problem with the ini file that may not download the guide correctly and skip schedules or something like that.

Another problem is that sometimes I download the epg from this site, for example, I download the epg at 05:00 PM but the guide is not displayed in my app immediately, it is displayed for example at 10:00 PM 4, 5 hours after I update it, then the epg shows up empty for that stretch of time. Is there any way to correct it?
